Anyone can learn to draw! This course is for all those with little or no experience. This is an introductory class to understand and build fundamental drawing skills based on the concept of seeing and defining basic shapes in relation to each other in a lit environment.
Students will learn about positive and negative space and how it defines shape and form. Students will bring in weekly assignments for critiquing. Through class work and assignments, growth and improvement will be achieved. Individual attention is provided to each student.
Students will provide their own materials.
Materials (approximate cost: $5 – $10)
- basic drawing pad at least 9×12 or larger
- pencils (#2)
- erasers
- 18″ ruler

Joe Adiletta
Joseph Adiletta has been teaching well loved drawing classes at Milford Adult Education consistently for 8 years. He teaches beginner through advanced drawing classes covering topics such as two dimensional line drawings and progression to third dimension/ depth; light and shade; perspective; the human figure and how it influences drapery; the human head including facial features and changing positions; animals; drawing mechanical and natural objects realistically; and textures.
