Tomato and basil crostini on pastry wafers

Theme Challenge for June: Favorite Foods

Join us at the June Monthly meeting of  Arts Alliance of Stratford. Meet and network with other local creative people.

Our guilty pleasures and our favorite foods are often one-in-the-same. We gravitate to certain foods because it’s what our mom made when we were growing up. Maybe it’s a memorable dish you had on vacation with someone special and you can’t stop thinking about it. Our favorite foods have that effect on us. Food is life but food is also love.

You can use the photo of the crostini on pastry wafers as a starting point to make it your own (download your own copy from pixabay.com), or follow your own inspiration and create something to show us what food you dream about.

Grab your paints, pencils, writing pad or other creative implements and make something inspired based on your Favorite Foods. Use the theme to create something unique. Follow your imagination where it takes you.

The challenge is open to visual art, writing, poetry, music or performance.

Each month the challenge theme is announced at the end of the monthly meeting. The finished challenge work will be presented at the following meeting.
