The Alliance invites the community artists from the region to share their interpretation of the theme Elements.

The dictionary defines ELEMENT as a basic or essential part or aspect of something that cannot be broken down into a simpler form. It could be a basic shape such as circle, square or triangle in a piece of art, that when put together, creates something more complex. In chemistry, it is a group of substances that together make all things. Element can also mean a natural habitat or environment, weather or the one of the 4 elements of water, earth, air and fire, that constitute the universe. You can take this theme anywhere your imagination can go.

For this show, we ask community visual and performing artists to submit entries inspired by your interpretation of elements. Visual art, music, written/spoken word, dance art forms encouraged.

We invite artists to submit 1-2 pieces. See submission guidelines below for maximum dimensions of entries and other important information.

Performers entries will include a QR code on their title card(s) which will link to their video channel or website (link will be submitted through the form below). Performing artists will submit a photo of themselves engaged in the performance, along with their inspiration for the work. Performers will provide a framed photo to be hung in the show.

This show is open to all community artists, members and non-members of the Alliance. All works will be adjudicated based on quality and adherence to the theme. In addition, works must be family friendly as it will be in a public space visited by children. The Alliance reserves the right to limit entries according to space availability and cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.
