Theme Challenge: The Heart of the Matter
Join us at the February Monthly meeting of Arts Alliance of Stratford. Meet and network with other local creative people.
February is American Heart Month so the January/February challenge is The Heart of the Matter.
We’ve heard that there is another -ahem- big holiday in February that has to do with hearts. Well the more the better.
Use the photo of the bleeding heart flowers as a starting point to explore your own idea of hearts, health and well-being. You can download your own copy from Pixabay.com. Your heart beats, it aches and burns. What could you do with the theme of hearts that hasn’t already been done for that other holiday?
Grab your paints, pencils, writing pad or other creative implements and make something inspired based on The Heart of the Matter. Use the theme to create something unique. Follow your imagination where it takes you.
The challenge is open to visual art, writing, poetry, music or performance.
Each month the challenge theme is announced at the end of the monthly meeting. The finished Heart of the Matter work will be presented at the February meeting.
