May Monthly Arts Networking Meeting
Theme Challenge: Bloom
Join us at the May Monthly meeting of Arts Alliance of Stratford. Meet and network with other local creative people.
The April/May challenge is Bloom.
Use the photo of the yellow flower emerging from the cracked earth as a starting point to explore your own idea of how to interpret Bloom. You can download your own copy from Pixabay.com.
Grab your paints, pencils, writing pad or other creative implements and make something inspired based on Bloom. Use the theme to create something unique. Follow your imagination where it takes you.
Some possible interpretations:
- The resurgence of spring with the earth coming back to life again.
- A person blooming into their own or flourishing
- A ‘late bloomer’
- “Bloom where you are planted,” an acceptance of a situation that is unchosen
- The dusty-like bloom on some fruits
- The red tide bloom of algae in warm sea waters
The challenge is open to visual art, writing, poetry, music or performance.
Each month the challenge theme is announced at the end of the monthly meeting. The finished Bloom work will be presented at the May meeting.
